DXG-579V available in Holiday pack from Kohl’s
I have covered the affordable video camcorders from DXG before, such as the DXG-567V and DXG-569V. Now, there is the DXG-579V, an upright digital camcorder with 720p video capture and shoot still pictures up to 8 megapixels. The DXG-579V is a vertical form factor with a 2.4 inch rotation screen. It records H.264 video, or MOV file format, at up to 1280 x 720 at 30 frames per second. The user has the option of using High Capacity SD cards. I regularly use the DXG-569V, and I find it simple to use and easy to upload videos to YouTube. The DXG-579V looks to be a step up from the 569V, and it looks like it has some sort of weird gauge where the SD card is inserted. DXG is offering the DXG-579V in a full holiday pack. SpongeBob Speakers Roll Their Eyes
We have covered SpongeBob Squarepants products before on Coolest gadgets, and I thought my favorite was the rectal thermometer until I saw the SpongeBob Speakers. These SpongeBob Speakers from Npower is a way to play your music with the one who lives in a pineapple under the sea. The big buggy eyes that you see there are speakers, which can roll along to the music. And when I say roll along, I don’t mean that the pupils move to the beat of the music. I mean that when you lay them on a flat surface, these globes will move to and fro. I’ve included a YouTube video so you can watch this in action after the jump. As you can see, the SpongeBob Speakers have a Sponge dock on the top in order to hold whatever mp3 player you care to plug into it. (Read the full post about ‘SpongeBob Speakers Roll Their Eyes’…)

AT&T team up with LG to Incite the masses
AT&T, the nation’s largest network operator, has come together with Korean cell phone manufacturer to launch the LG Incite. Touted to be the first true LG smartphone in the US, the Incite does come with a whole host of features that will definitely leave you drooling, although it might not do enough to sway the minds of those who have already set themselves on getting the iPhone 3G. More on the LG Incite right after the jump, specifications and all. The LG Incite does not fall short when it comes to features, in fact, it is chock full of them. Not only do you get domestic 3G capability, you are able to receive that boon when overseas as well, but you would do well to be prudent then unless you want to get slapped with an insanely large bill when you return home from your business trip halfway across the world. Laptop Cool Table from Arbella
While laptops are great devices to tote around, sometimes we do wish they can be as comfortable to use as an actual desktop. Desktop replacement models aren’t exactly the most portable devices, which is why the Laptop Cool Table from Arbella works great if you want more comfort when working on your laptop, no matter where you are. The Laptop Cool table was developed to make the laptop more comfortable to use. The table instantly turns your laptop in to a portable desktop by raising your computer with quick adjusting legs to a comfortable level. Lifting the laptop up relieves your sore wrists and back and also keeps the hot battery from burning your legs. Built in USB fans help cool your laptop and prolong its life. PC Authority reviews the Apple iPhone 3G and writes, “The iPhone 3G is truly an impressive device, although those familiar with its predecessor will lament the lack of features such as MMS, cut and paste and tethering (using the phone as a wireless modem for a notebook) - all features found on most other smartphones. The camera has remained at a measly two megapixels, with no option for video capture or video calls.”

The New Zealand Herlad reviews the Apple iPhone 3G and writes, “What’s missing from the new iPhone? Those who use phone cameras will be disappointed at the lack of video recording which is common on most high-end phones and smartphones to varying degrees of success. Video playback of saved files, though, is flawless.”

HTC Touch Cruise Review - PC Authority
PC Authority reviews the HTC Touch Cruise and writes, “The camera is now three megapixel and good (despite some sensor artefacts), plus, a second one joins it at the front for video calls. A 1GB microSD card is included but battery life is modest and we frequently needed to recharge after a day of heavy use. Also, we occasionally picked up the phone to find it warm: it had got stuck downloading Google Maps and discharged a full battery – but this seems to be a bug with many WM6-based 3G phones.” Read more about the HTC Touch Cruise. The Discovery Voice-Activated Biometric Safe
Do you or your kids have some valuables that need stashed away and kept safe?  Well Discovery has a safe that can only be opened by the sound of your voice. Which would be handy for hiding things away from either your spouse or your siblings.  Hopefully though this safe offers better voice recognition than the diaries that get released every so often that claim the same things.  To crack those diaries all you have to do is hear the person say whatever it is to open it.  Then match the ups and downs in their voice and you’re in. Samsung Instinct Review - Miami Herald
Miami Herald reviews the Samsung Instinct and writes, “The camera doesn’t have auto focus, so I ended up with photos that were fuzzy…This is a well-designed phone, and the fast-responding touch screen. Considering what this phone can do and the large display, it’s a good deal at $130 and worth getting if you’ve comfortable using a touch screen.” Read more about the Samsung Instinct.
